Overview

Client:
Pluxee (formerly Sodexo)
Role:
Lead Designer & UX Consultant
Duration:
3 years, 3 months
Tools:
Figma, Confluence, Storybook, Firebase, Amplitude

Challenge

Pluxee’s legacy app (One App v2) suffered from inconsistent design patterns, low retention (-26% task completion), and fragmented user journeys. Mid-project, the company rebranded from Sodexo, requiring a full design system overhaul. My mission: Redesign a global app for 2M+ users across 6 countries in LATAM while aligning with a new brand identity and technical constraints.

Approach

Research & Strategy
  • Collaborated with stakeholders to define project goals and success metrics.
  • Conducted user research (interviews, surveys) to identify pain points in key flows: onboarding, card management, QR payments, and store discovery.
  • Analyzed competitors to identify industry trends and opportunities.
Design Execution
  • Redesigned the app’s architecture to simplify navigation and improve clarity.
  • Created wireframes and high-fidelity mockups in Figma, adhering to the new Pluxee design system.
  • Developed a component library in Storybook to ensure consistency and streamline developer handoff.
Collaboration
  • Worked closely with Product Owners and marketing teams across 6 countries to adapt designs to regional needs.
  • Supported QA teams in visual validation to ensure design integrity post-launch.

Outcomes

After implementing the first designs, a significant improvement was measured in certain metrics, such as:
  • User retention rate +16%
  • Task abandonment rate -26%
  • App session duration +17%
  • Conversion rate (average between transactions and purchases) +12%
  • Net Promoter Score (NPS) +10 points
  • User acquisition cost (CAC) -6%
